Tom Moore aka Captain Tom died at age 100. He’s the man that raised over 32 million GBP for the NHS in the UK by doing laps in his yard and was knighted by the queen last year.
He was living proof that it’s never too late to do the right thing and have an impact. His story should serve as an inspiration to all of us.
Him being honored by the queen was my favorite photo of 2020.
Tragically, he died after a Corona infection.

The founder of a well-known small online book store just announced that he’ll step down later this year.
I understand that he put a little money aside while he ran his business. Let’s very much hope that he’ll give back in a meaningful way. We haven’t seen him doing much of that so far.
You know Mr. Bezos, you could also give a portion of your empire to your employees. There I said it. Yes, you’re a visionary but all these guys that work their buns off filled your koffers. Sharing is caring. There I said it.
If you care about your legacy and not want to be seen as a total sucker then now is the time to do some outrageous things.
If we are talking climate change and rescuing planet earth seriously we can’t ignore our diets.
I recently bought some vegetarian cookbooks and there are a ton of yummy recipes in there that I’ll try. I’m not saying I’ll never touch a piece of meat again but I intend to cut it down rather significantly.
The last three weeks I haven’t had a single piece of meat. I still use dairy products. I’ve reduced my consumption though and substitute with oat & almond milk when possible. Dropping dairy entirely would be a much harder step for me.
If I can do it then so can you and many others. Maybe these steak & burger bbqs will really become a thing of the past.
If we stop eating cows, farmers will stop making them. It’s actually quite simple.
Yup, it’s a rather inconvenient truth for many of us. But we can’t electrify our buildings, switch to battery powered cars and turn a blind eye on this huge driver of emissions and waste of resources.
Time to start experimenting in the kitchen…

Imagine you’re one of the 50 Republican Senators in Washington. You know Trump is a prick who stirred up hate. He outright attacked the system you are part of. You know he has no loyalty and will turn on you whenever it serves him. Yet, you made a pact with the devil and are afraid of his angry mob voting you out in your next primary or do worse things to you prior to that.
You know that he threatened many peoples’ lives with his actions including yours. Yet you don’t have the backbone to stand up call things what they are. It truly makes you an invertebrate then. And no, we will never forget how you’ll vote on this impeachment.
To me, the entire process of impeachment might well be abandoned altogether if this one doesn’t go through. Yes, it is a political process but why do we hold on to it if we can’t even impeach someone that tried to unhinge our entire democracy?
We’ll know soon how this will all play out. 17 votes…miracles do happen…we’ll see. Based on what I’ve seen from this rat pack I will only believe it when I see it. I’m truly disgusted by people still kissing up to him.
Why would México even let Ted Cruz in? Got to keep some minimum standards. Come one, Cancun: stay classy and send that dirt bag home. You can do better than that!

Amazing it would be if we could actually some of those green Martians everyone always talks about. So far: zilch!
