Let’s see how long that new coalition will last. Anything beyond 30 says would be a tremendous success.
But yes, this is what you get when people actually talk with each other and decide to find common ground. Maybe something can grow out of this. One should still be allowed to hope.

Biden would need some big wins now so the impact could be felt by the midterm elections. With 49 votes it’s just not going to happen.

McConnell wanted to stall Biden. Looks like that job is already done without him moving a finger.
Manchin was a shaky ally at best.

Respect for Joe Biden in how he conducted himself today in the meeting with Putin. I felt well represented which is not something I could have said the last time an American President met with that weasel.
I don’t think anyone else could have done any better under the given circumstances. We are lucky to have him.
I wish Type D would really just be a German race car from the 1930s and nothing else.
Unlike the other Type D I wouldn’t be too opposed to getting it ;)

If you look closely you can see a rainbow. Looking down on a rainbow was not on my bucket list but it’s checked off anyway.
The European Soccer Championship might have repercussions that might put a huge stain on the UEFA (the organizing body).
UEFA has pushed for stadiums to be filled. It is clear already that some of the games turned into mass-spreading events for Covid. Type D travels outdoors much better than its predecessors.
This tournament might be a big contributor for the next wave.
It was a ridiculous idea to hold this tournament all across Europe and lets fans travel to the games.
It was insane that some stadiums were jam package (>>Budapest).
It was nuts to request a full vaccination record from anyone interested in attending.
Don’t even get me started about playing games in de-facto or outright dictatorships.
I predict that UEFA has done itself a terrible disservice with this event. They were at times seen as the good guys standing up against FIFA. That role is gone.
I just see them as incompetent, greedy, and irresponsible. The real storm will unfold if infections keep climbing and can be traced back to the games.
